I was blessed to be the niece of Rodney Arthur Schmidt—”Uncle Rod” to me. I created this website to honor his life, share his stories, and preserve the memories that made him such a unique and generous soul.

Uncle Rod played an incredibly meaningful role in my life. He offered me love, encouragement, and a sense of belonging that I will carry with me forever. His words, journals, photography, poetry, and love of nature all reflected a man who saw the world with both grit and grace.

This site is a labor of love, meant for family, friends, and anyone who may find connection in his story.
